Distance Learning

NMS Distance Learning

No technical expertise necessary! Most modern computers come ready to go with everything you need to start your online music lessons.
What you’ll need:

  • A modern computer
  • A web-camera and microphone – built-in or attachable.
  • A fully-updated Skype client and Skype user account.
  • A reliable Internet connection: You can check your connection by clicking here and selecting “Begin Test.” If download speeds are above 2.0 Mbps, and upload speeds are above 1.0 Mbps, you are good to go!

(Please note: the linked peripherals are only recommendations based on what NMS is using, but it is NOT required that you have the exact same ones. Any camera/mic of sufficient quality will do.)
